MANUEL

KERNERSVILLE - Mrs. Ann Peek Manuel, 40, of 316 Sedge Garden Road died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at her home after an extended battle with cancer. Mrs. Manuel was born in Montgomery, Ala., a daughter of Billy and Peggy Shuman Peek, and was a member of the Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. Mrs. Manuel was a graduate of East High School, attended Appalachian State University, and was employed by US Air for more than 10 years. She was a devoted and caring wife and mother. Surviving are her husband, Keith Manuel; four sons, Nolan Emory Manuel, Benjamin Keith Manuel, Lukas Wyatt Manuel and Connor William Manuel, all of the home; her parents, Billy and Peggy Peek of Vidalia, Ga.; a sister, Jeanie Ford of Raleigh; and a brother, Michael Peek of Vidalia, Ga. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ed Biggers, the Rev. Jim Faggart and the Rev. Cory Miller. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 1900 S. Hawthorne Road, Forsyth Medical Park, Suite 622, Winston-Salem, NC 27103; or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Attn.: Memorial Dept. Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home in Kernersville is assisting the Manuel family.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, by the Revs. Ed Biggers, Jim Faggart and Cory Miller.
