Mrs. Anne Clark Biggs, 60, of 631 Spyglass Dr., Bermuda Run, N.C. died Thursday, July 18, 1991 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. She was born June 8, 1931, in Stokes County to Paul and Randie Lewis. Mrs. Biggs was a graduate of King High School in 1949. Her undergraduate studies were at Brevard Jr. College and High Point College. She graduated with cum laude honors from both institutions. Her graduate work was at Wake Forest University, and she graduated with a master's degree in English History from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She was a dedicated high school English teacher for 31 years in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama, and retired from Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System in 1989. Surviving are her husband, Odie Biggs of the home; one son, Christopher Read Clark of Greenville, Tenn.; two daughters, Miranda Clark Eaton of Clemmons and Melissa Clark James of Winston-Salem; four stepdaughters, Debra B. Kass of Monroeville, Pa., Cynthia B. Horton of Winston-Salem, Martha B. Ziglar of Kernersville, and Kathryn L. Biggs of Winston-Salem; her mother, Randie M. Lewis of Clemmons; two grandsons, Mathieu Horton of Winston-Salem and Ryan Kass of Monroeville, Pa.; one granddaughter, Alexandra Horton of Winston-Salem; her devoted brother-in-law, Read M. Clark, and sister-in-law, Dee V. Clark both of Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at King Moravian Church by Rev. James Newsome. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Autism Society of America, 8601 Georgia Ave., Suite 503, Silver Springs, Md. 20910 or a charity of donor's choice.
